ECG Interpretation Workshop
A case based workshop for learning to read ECGs
Learning to read and confidently interpret an ECG is a valuable skill for assessing and treating patients with a wide range of medical presentations including chest pain, syncope, stroke, shortness of breath and poisoning.
This clinically based workshop provides the opportunity to develop skills in examining ECGs and confidence in identifying abnormalities associated with cardiac or lung disease or associated with toxicological or biochemical disorders. The workshop introduces a systematic approach to examining a 12 lead ECG and relates the PQRST components of the ECG waveform to the physiological and electrical changes occurring in the heart. This provides a strong basis for the knowledge and skills required to recognise and interpret ECG abnormalities. The workshop uses an interactive approach to clinical education built around the use of ECG clinical case studies.
The workshop is suited to Medical officers (GPs, Training MOs, CMOs), Nurses, Paramedics and Students.
Topics covered in the program include:

Systematic approach to ECG evaluation
