Designed for medical officers, nurses, paramedics and students in all medical fields.

It is easy to miss the seriously ill child who presents with subtle clinical findings or feel uncomfortable when required to manage the seriously ill child.

In this course we examine a range of common emergency presentations and discuss clinical history and examination, red flags for serious illness and clinical management of the seriously ill child. A CPD Certificate is provided with successful completion of the course for 8 CPD hours

The course will specifically review :

  • 1. Red Flags for Serious illness in a child / Vomiting and Dehydration

  • 2. Approach to Respiratory distress in the young child

  • 3. Assessment of the Sick Neonate

  • 4. Acute Asthma : Red Flags for severe asthma / Acute management

  • 5. The Child with Cardiac arrest secondary to Drowning
