Bedside Emergency Ultrasound (1): Physics, Knobology, Aorta, First Trimester (2021)

The following modules introduce the core principles and knowledge required for the use of ultrasound in emergency practice and for bedside scanning of the abdominal aorta and first trimester pregnancy.

The first topic introduces the physics behind ultrasound and the second explores the topic of knobology. Although the content is perhaps a little dry these modules provide the foundation to understanding how to use and interpret ultrasound in clinical practice. The remaining topics explore the application of ultrasound to assessment of the abdominal aorta and first trimester pregnancy.
